I made this for my husband and he literally cried it was so good! I’m not the greatest cook, built I followed the recipe to a T and it was AMAZING!!! (it’s even better the second day)

Yes, add sliced cremini or white mushrooms. Sauté them first for 5 to 7 minutes until they release their moisture and start to brown, then layer them in with the meat sauce and cheese layers.

Yes, you can definitely prep and assemble the lasagna the night before! Just cover it tightly with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate. When you’re ready to bake, let it sit at room temperature for about 20-30 minutes before popping it in the oven. Enjoy your Christmas dinner!
