Recipe: Mom’s Chocolate Chip Cake

For this recipe, you will need:

1 box yellow cake mix

1 small package instant chocolate pudding mix

4 large eggs

1/2 cup vegetable oil

8 ounces sour cream

6 ounce package of Nestle chocolate chips

********

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a Bundt pan or tube pan.
  2. Mix together well all ingredients except the chocolate chips.
  3. If using a Bundt pan, spoon enough batter into the pan just to cover the bottom (which will be inverted to become the top after baking). Sprinkle in half the chocolate chips. Add half the remaining batter, then the rest of the chocolate chips, then the rest of the batter.
  4. If using a tube pan, pour in half the batter, sprinkle on half the chocolate chips, then add the remaining batter and top with the remaining chocolate chips. This cake will NOT be inverted after baking.
  5. Bake for 50-60 minutes, until cake starts to pull away from the sides of the pan. Let rest for 5-10 minutes before removing from pan.
  6. Enjoy!
